? Lead the Area Sales team to achieve sales budgets and sustainable, high levels of customer satisfaction.
? Development and implementation of Area business plans and budgets in line with Syngenta Integrated Crop Solutions strategy to maximize sales/growth potential
? Analysis of area to optimize Syngenta market share, define territory boundaries and allocate resources to best deliver on Syngenta’s goals
? Develop (in conjunction with the CU Head) and implement the area GTM strategy in line with national and regional direction. Ensure the strategy is on brand while maximizing local opportunities
? Develop (in conjunction with the CU Head) and implement the area GIM strategy in line with national and regional objectives. Drive a local strategy which engages focus growers and builds strong rapport with identified influencers
? Integrate the skills and influence of the Tech Services Lead into the business to optimise the skill set of the TSM’s and the extension of technical leadership throughout the area
? Be the primary contact for key independent businesses that are based in the area ? Achieve sales targets while managing expenses within budget
? Forecast effectiveness (three months out) as measured by the forecast effectiveness report produced by Operations
? Influence product demand by: nurturing key relationships with resellers and growers through distributors and Focused Grower Management and Consultants through joint planning activities
? Analyse territory crop markets (grower practices/needs, statistics, technology, economic conditions, KIPs and value chain participants) to optimize territory boundaries and allocate human and other resource to deliver synergies with channel distribution
? Manage rebates for Independent area customers and where required the rebate targets for other customers
? Participate in Marketing activities e.g. development of Marketing Crop Plans and execution of Market Research projects as required from the Syngenta Crop Leads
? Facilitate promotional programs
? Providing timely and accurate intelligence and feedback on product performance, market information and competition
? Develop and implement Key Customer/activity plans to influence grower demand, often in cooperation with value-adding channel partners
? Deliver timely monthly reports to CU Head.
? Assist in ‘faster time to top sales’ by liaising with Solutions development and R&D
? Department and Technical Services Lead to ensure cooperation and commitment to new product development
? Proactive involvement in Avcare state affairs (e.g. accreditation, stewardship, etc.)
? Work with Syngenta Customer Service Manager to resolve customer issues/ order fulfilment problems at the operational level
? Liaise with the Development and Learning Manager to ensure all Sales Rep complete training as identified on the Personal Development Plan
? Utilize Performance Management to provide Sales Rep with regular formal and informal discussion on performance and development issues
? Manage customer credit limits and timely payment of accounts. Involvement in credit risk assessment
? Ensure HS&E policy is implemented within the state in line with company policy (e.g. Driver training)
