Brief Posting Description (Position Summary – paragraph form)

The Supplier Quality Manager will lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and work with other cross functional team members in a collaborative environment. The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for leading and solving supplier quality problems, performance monitoring, supplier audits, supporting new product development and change management programs, PPAP approvals, and other continuous improvement activities with the supply base. It is a tremendous opportunity for the right individual to work with a diverse product line and materials and apply strong leadership, technical, and communication skills to impact the overall team and manufacturing process.

? Supervision of team of supplier quality engineers at the manufacturing site
? Leadership of supplier quality strategy and supplier quality goals at the manufacturing site
? High level interface with all stakeholders on supplier quality communication and improvement strategy at the manufacturing site
? Organizational development with team of Supplier Quality Engineers at the manufacturing site
? Development of annual Supplier Audit Plan for the manufacturing site
? Implementation of Supplier Corrective Actions, specific Action Plans and 8D follow-up for the manufacturing site
? Measurement of key supplier performance metrics across quality defects, delivery and cost for the manufacturing site
? Monthly performance reviews with suppliers
? Monitoring supplier tooling performance and capability
? Establish Work Plans to effectively manage resources at the manufacturing site
? Support New Product Development and Change Management Quality Audits and PPAP approvals as applicable for the manufacturing site
? Maintain all record retention requirements and Trackwise integrity
? Driving lessons learned across the Supplier Quality organization

*Job Requirements (Minimum: Required Skills and Competencies, Education Level / Major Required, Years of Experience, Certifications / Licenses, etc…)

? BS in Engineering
? MBA – not required but preferred
? 10 years experience in process/manufacturing improvement
? 5 years + experience in managing progressive supplier quality programs
? 5 years + experience managing others
? Six Sigma training/certification
? CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQM (Certified Quality Manager)
? Experience with quality tools including but not limited to Design for Manufacturability, Error Proofing, GD&T, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plan, and 8D.
? Established statistical modeling capabilities
? Excellent collaboration & project management skills
? Excellent verbal and written communications skills

? Travel – can be up to 30% to 50% depending on demands
? Language – Fluent English
? Computer Skills – proficient in MS Office, Statistical s/w such as Minitab
