RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for providing package solutions from the complete Dana Off-Highway product range, with a specific focus on Fluid Power products and systems.

· You will be the main technical point of contact to OE manufacturers in the Asia-Pacific region supplying to the agriculture, construction, mining, forestry and materials handling industries.

· You will be expected to drive & deliver complete technical solutions to your customers, even when faced with vague or unclear system requirements.

· You can demonstrate capabilities in taking a lead role in cross-functional teams,

· Your knowledge of off-highway vehicles and end user behaviours will be vital in developing complex system requirement definitions.

· Your day-to-day activities in this role will see you performing a range of activities, including but not limited to:

· Collecting & analysing customer requirements, selecting appropriate Dana products and developing vehicle & system performance proposals

· Providing the technical “voice of the customer” to the Dana organization

· Supporting internal product engineering activities, including:

· DFMEA, design reviews, drawing and model creation (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA), prototype builds, DV/PV testing, NVH verification, and design for manufacturing reviews.

· Preparing technical product presentations to both Customer and Dana internal employees

· Technical troubleshooting of vehicles at end-user sites

· Communicating technical issues as needed to all Dana internal functions – Product Engineering/Product Planning, Program Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Warranty.

· Customer prototype performance testing and preparation of test reports confirming product & vehicle performance outcomes.

· You will also be expected to play a supporting role in the following:

· Co-ordinating and supporting prototype and test validation plans to meet customer program timing.

· Supporting Advanced Program Quality Planning (APQP) activities.

· Supporting product cost savings proposals and initiatives as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Education: BSME degree.

· Graduate degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, with a specialization in hydraulics, is a plus.

· >5 years of experience in either 1st tier supplier or OEM in the off-highway (or similar) industry

· Demonstrable expertise in hydraulic product and/or system development for mobile off-highway equipment

· Capable to coordinate the work of a small team of engineers on a specific project

· Creative thinking capability & experience in developing solutions to unique requirements.

· Proficiency in English essential, as you will be regularly communicating with global product teams.

· Ability to communicate technical content to a range of both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Ability to work in a self-directed manner and take ownership of your customers challenges, demonstrating an ability to manage relationships within and outside of the company

· Must be willing to regularly travel domestically (30-40%) and internationally when required.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Good knowledge of electrified off-highway vehicle components & functionality.

· Requirement development for hydraulic system control systems (electromechanical)

· Experience with the following software greatly preferred (or similar):

· MATLAB

· Teamcenter/Creo/ProEngineer

· CANAlyzer

· Experience with data acquisition tools & technologies

· Working experience in supporting DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP and PPAP activities.

· Experience with practical use and interpretation of vehicle communications protocols (i.e. CANOpen, J1939).

· Project Management skills & capabilities to efficiently manage key stakeholders.
