Job_description_responsibilities:

• Complete Initial On-site Supplier Evaluation per standard work
• Perform weekly order reviews, past due reviews and performance analysis
• Conduct regular site visits focusing upon Order Management, Rough Material, Capacity, Finish Goods, and Robust Get Current Plans with timing
• Support On-Site Supplier Expeditors
• Provide additional MRC training as needed
• Recommend parts for resourcing to drive > 95% delivery performance
• Recommend receiving suppliers that can deliver resourced parts to Cat at > 95% delivery performance
• Support Supply Chain's inventory reduction and inventory turns goals
• Support Supply Chain's Leadtime reduction strategies
• Supplement Supplier Development Engineering Roles & Responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Required_skills_qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / or Equivalent

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus

· Project leadership or team management experience

· Minimum of 4 years of internal or external work experience in a Supply Chain, Global

· Purchasing, Operations, Quality and/or Engineering

· This person must have 8D training / problem solving skills / experience

Desired_skills_qualifications:

· Knowledge and Experience with APQP, 6 sigma or related quality processes.

· Experience with implementing supply base initiatives or supplier negotiations

· 10 years of internal and external work experience in Supply Chain, Global Purchasing, Operations, Quality and/or Engineering

· Experience with lean manufacturing concept implementation, training and/or strategy design.

· Experience in Gear manufacturing.

comments: The candidate must have excellent problem solving skills.
Must be multi skilled and have "on the ground" supply base experience
