Job Purpose

As part of the China SGTS team in charge of IT infrastructure of the support of Saint-Gobain business , the job holder shall be responsible to maintain in operational conditions IT infrastructure and perform operation tasks on behalf of Saint-Gobain Group and/or one of its businesses.

IT infrastructure engineer is in charge of the hardware and OS aspects of a business IT Infrastructure and responsible for evaluating infrastructure performance.

IT infrastructure need maintain a consistent, flexible and reliable local infrastructure environment.

Key Accountabilities

1. Maintain and supervise all network, servers and other infrastructure systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements,

2. Responsible for management, maintenance and technical evolution of storage, servers, network devices, and virtualized environment,

3. Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively,

4. Resolve issues within the time frame and Services Level agreed and formalize status reviews and reports, escalate incidents to upper level if necessary

5. Implement and test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications,

6. Interact and coordinate with various IT vendors and service providers to ensure set-up and business continuity of productive environment,

7. Ensure compliance of the infrastructures with SG IT technical and Security standard,

8. Professionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects,

9. Maintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendor to ensure that services received meet expected requirements of contract,

10. Maintain the documentation of current infrastructure and future trends

Typical Education Level:

- A bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or computer science

- Fluent in both written and spoken English, preferably passed CET Band 4

- Relevant experience, knowledge and skills:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in infrastructure engineering

- Solid IT infrastructure technical background, including infrastructure networks, hardware, software, telecommunications and Information Security

- Experience using automated monitoring tools

- Ability to identify incident trends in order to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols

- Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues

- Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices

- Abilities, personal characteristics and competencies

- Highly motivated, organized, and ability to manage multitasks

- Result and customer focused

- Excellent communication skills, towards multiple organizations

- Capacity to manage change in a documented, timely and cost-effective manner and with service focus in-mind

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

- Good attention to detail, testing and documentation
