Job Description:
1: As Commodity Manager it is your mission to contribute to the divisional targets by leveraging supplier innovation capabilities and consolidating divisional volumes for core commodities.
2: You will be the account manager for key suppliers, coordinating across the 14 Industrial Air Product Companies, striving for global operational excellence of the respective suppliers assigned to you.
3: You will build a clear understanding of the division’s key value objectives for a given commodity and organize divisional commodity team meetings in order to develop balanced commodity strategies in line with the needs of the different product companies.
4: Establish good supplier management that will deliver successful business outcomes for both parties.
5: Followup on the latest technology evolutions & market trends of the commodities falling under your responsibility.
6: Develop and use tools to benchmark and assess market characteristics (risk, competition, trends, opportunities…), to ensure continuity of supply and to make sure that best value is achieved.
7: Drive total cost of ownership improvements of key suppliers including their logistical and quality performance whilst listening to and delivering results for your stakeholders within the different product companies.
8: Cooperate actively in new development projects of core commodities, led by the divisional engineering function.
Optimize divisional working capital by improving payables and introducing consignment stock & VMI.
9: Have a very strong focus on our cost reduction target of 7% by sharing the divisional best practices of your core commodities.
Negotiate divisional supply agreements.
10: Guide the local introduction of new key vendors capable of meeting our technical, quality and flow requirements.
11: In this function, you will report to the divisional Vice President Sourcing；

Qualification/Job Requirement:
1. At least 3-5 years’ experience in a purchasing function.
2. Master degree, major in mechanical engineering or commercial studies with a good technical background in technical components
3. Good negotiation and analytical skills, strong commercial background and knowledgeable in contractual issues relating to terms and conditions.
4. Fluent in English
5. Good understanding of purchasing processes, BPCS & MS Office.
6. Able to identify and manage risks and implement best procurement practices
7. Strong interpersonal skills resulting in acceptance on the way forward by other departments within the organisation；
