Principal accountabilities/critical objectives and authorities

· Lead Oilfield Applied Technology Group in Asia.

· Professional and managerial responsibility for the technical service and development group of the business line Oilfield in both Great China and SEA.

· HSE-responsibility for the group.

· Professional and managerial responsibility for the technical service and development works.

· Be responsible for creating a stimulating and developing working climate including good communication and information both within and between departments/sections.

· Customer visits and Technical advice & support to customers.

· Positioning of AN products in the market.

· Technical training for colleagues, distributors and customers.

· Support for the local production and product management.

· Be the interface to Product Safety, incl. product registration topics.

· Needs to understand the major customer concerns regarding AN products/technology in the focused industries.

· Need to understand mega-trend of industry, make a prompt and effective actions based on AN resource

· Be responsible for subordinates development and carrying out performance reviews incl. career discussion and for clarifying the link between performance and pay.

· Ensures timeliness and quality of the work within the group.

· Be responsible for establishing and following up of the group budget and for taking corrective actions if budget is not met.

· Be responsible for that the operation is carried out according to HSE&S and labor laws and regulations, the AN corporate directives and standards and according to internal policies and procedures.

· Be responsible for applying the AN Business Principals within the group.

· The compilation and maintenance of records that will provide objective evidence of continuing compliance with the management system including the AkzoNobel corporate directives and standards.

2. Theoretical qualifications and practical experience

· Prefer PhD degree in Chemistry or chemical engineering or related field.

· Additional education in specific application area. ？

· Leadership experience in a growing group

· At least 5 years experiences in R & D and technical service

· Working experience in a multi-national company

· Team oriented and leadership skills

· Fluent English both in speaking and in writing;

· Competent PC skills (Word, Excel) required

· Self-motivated, creative and target orientated

· Willing to travel
