Caterpillar’s Manufacturing Engineer position works both independently and as part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in manufacturing. In addition, Manufacturing Engineers function as a specialist and subject matter expert for technical planning throughout a manufacturing facility.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Manage assembly line at supplier’s sites and make sure it operating according with standard specifications.
* Provide technical support to assembly line at workshop, especially resolve difficult problems in short time.
* Draft Standard Work Element Sheet for assembling machines.
* Inspect components delivered and make sure them qualified to prints.
* Initiate Engineering change through design improvement, BOM comparison, and push engineering change implementation.
* Provide technical support for Original Equipment Manufacturer and end user, and put forward improvement suggestions.

Required Qualifications:

* Master level degree or equivalent experience in engineering
* Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English
* Engineering or manufacturing background plus familiarity with manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies for products
* Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures
* Minimum of two years of job related experience.
* Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative working relationship with others inside and outside of Caterpillar
* Solid ability to use and demonstrate statistical and problem solving tools

Desired Qualifications:

* Master Degree in Engineering or relevant fields
* Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers
