Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
This multi-incumbent position is a Standard Job throughout the corporation that may function in a staff capacity in a particular phase of QA responsibilities in assigned areas, including QA&QC procedures and specifications, performing audits, improvements of products reliability and customer satisfaction through support of the NPI (New Product Introduction) program. Direct job responsibilities require the use of basic SPC techniques to analyze and report trends in product test results. These results determine if current tests have customer value, improvements or deterioration in quality levels and possible changes in test procedures or specifications. And to create nonconforming product report and facilitate the reactions like rework, scrap or return to vendor, etc, as well as get root cause and corrective actions.

Conducts incoming goods quality audit report results to various internal departments to improve the quality of Caterpillar products or discuss non-conformance parts with suppliers. The incumbent requests inspection to be run, analyzes the results, writes and issues Quality Control Inspection reports.

Conducts APQP processes to support the NPI program.

This position has frequent contact with Purchasing and or suppliers for incoming quality issue.

Required Qualifications:
-College or university degree of Mechanical major
-At least 5 years work experience in quality area(QA, QC, etc)
-Familiar with APQP and PPAP process
-Good communication skills including English language
-Good skill for MS-office
-Be willing to travel frequently( twice per month)

Desired Qualifications:
IQA or SQE experience, or Fabrication experience, or Painting experience
