As an Account Manager, you will manage the ongoing performance of a select portfolio of existing accounts within a market sector including the development, closing and implementation, of new business opportunities with existing clients and select new clients not yet using Cat Logistics services.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Providing leadership and direction to the commercial efforts required too support a select portfolio. Must develop an understanding of client organizational structures and develop relationships throughout the client organization. Client contacts are usually at a less senior management level than the Commercial Manager;
* Developing and tracking of annual operating plans, development and tracking of growth and sales plans, monitoring capital expenditures and staffing, development and implementation of account development strategies, providing customer satisfaction, administration of contracts, providing direction to internal support organizations, managing efforts to close new business opportunities with existing and select new clients. Consulting with Account Representatives, client personnel, internal technical staff, and Facility Managers to define directions, determine priorities, allocate resources and resolve problems associated with the assigned portfolio of existing accounts;
* Implementing operational strategies and deliverables that are aligned with contractual commitments, client expectations and account performance expectations;
* Developing and managing facility operating budgets and resource requirements, etc. Playing an important role in the delivery of operational commitments to the clients in his/her portfolio.
* Closing sales to existing clients within the assigned portfolio and for select new clients. This includes managing the development and implementation of marketing plans and establishing a strategic selling approach for the client(s). Developing client relationship management strategies for targeted prospects within the client organization.
* Position requires significant travel. Required Qualifications:
* College degree in a business related field or equivalent and considerable experience in Operations, Inventory Control, Parts Accounting, Dealer/Distributor Parts Operations and Marketing;
* Knowledge of company policies and procedures along with good communications and human relations skills; and,
* Previous experience in the entry-level Account Representative position.
