Atlas Copco Asia-Pacific (Shanghai) Distribution Center has an open vacancy for Shipping Team Leader to promote the logistics organization and to contribute to the company’s service excellence goals and objectives.

In this role you are responsible for transport planning and follow-up to ensure in time dispatch and arrival. This applies to all inbound and outbound shipments, both national and international. Furthermore, this person ensures smooth, correct and effective customs clearance for import and export shipments. The key success factor to exceed customers’ expectations is to support the organization with improved operations for a faster and reliable service. You will monitor and steer the forwarders and customs brokers to establish a continuous on-time delivery performance in accordance with the agreements. You will actively participate in projects to develop and facilitate new and existing business requirements.

The Shipping Team Leader heads a team of four professional shipping administrators in Shanghai, and reports to the Regional Transport and Shipping Manager. He or she is pragmatic when translating various customer needs into a standardized shipping process and supports the mission to maximize customer satisfaction through reliable transport solutions at minimized cost and environmental impact.

Educational requirements
The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or equal by experience. A sound knowledge of Chinese and English is required.

Experience requirements
Several years’ related experience and proven track record in import, export and domestic shipping operations is a significant asset. Knowledge of national and international trading is a big advantage, with a strong competence on customs clearance operations.

Profound experience as a people manager is a must: you excel in people leadership by motivating your team members for an open cooperation with a clear strategy to achieve the goals and targets.

Location
