The Value Stream Business Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and systems. The individual must take this knowledge and provide financial leadership, training and support to the Value Stream. Will be knowledgeable on a variety of accounting functions. Incumbent has the ability to accomplish complex and/or technical analysis. The primary responsibilities of the Business Manager is to provide financial leadership to the Value Stream. Additional responsibilities include; establish and communicate internal controls and documentation requirements to all Value Stream personnel. Provides financial planning for upper level management including group managers, facility manager, Value Stream General Manager. Cost and investment analysis for upper level management (i.e. Normals, ROI, Pricing and Make/Buy studies). Provides Value Stream reporting, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial results. Complex or unique accounting issues, which include: inventory, budgeting, and capital forecasting and assets. Serves as the primary contact for resolving all accounting/general business related issues and is the liaison between the Value Stream and the facility. Responsible for routine monthly reporting including profit center and legal entity results, Rolling Business Management (RBM), etc. Annual business processes including SRC (Strategic Review Conference), EOR (Executive Office Review), andbusiness plan. Will provide business analyst for value stream sourcing, NPI and competitive analysis
studies; business analyst for specific value steams and or product teams.

Qualifications:
[Experience] 6-8 years of accounting experience is recommended. [Education] Requires a 4-year degree, preferably in accounting plus proven record of success at entry or lower levels. [Skills] Must demonstrate high levels of initiative, leadership, good judgment, the ability to communicate effectively, a broad understanding of accounting business processes, process improvement, and have a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar business, products, suppliers and customers.
