POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose
To ensure the delivery of standard IT Infrastructure technologies, maintain viability services, and processes for our Air Products remote locations to achieve the balance of lower cost and reliable services. Working in partnership with IT Infrastructure colleagues as well as key business personnel, this position focuses on meeting business and IT workload commitments and looking for CI and productivity opportunities.

Nature and Scope
The Regional Analysts are recognized and valued as Ambassadors for Global IT and Champions for our business clients regional needs. The individual simplifies the interaction between Global IT and regional business clients to successfully support the delivery of IT services and solutions using consistent global processes.


DIMENSIONS

The IT Regional Analyst job family supports:
1. Major IT and Business Programs, Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures, Business Projects, Site Transaction Service, IT Solutions and Delivery projects, IT Existing Services, Disaster Recovery, Compliance & Risk, and non-enterprise locations
2. Office-based and remote customers of computing and telecommunication services excluding Trexlertown, Hersham. and Petaling Jaya MY (APSS Office)
3. All standard IT Infrastructure services and solutions
4. Multiple languages including, but not limited to, all SAP supported languages


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position is accountable for the following end results which may vary by region:
1. Support and promote safety within the organisation
2. Provide affiliate project management for regional IT related projects. Coordinate all IT resources for any merger, joint venture, acquisition, divestiture, new construction, closure, movement, and consolidation activities. This may require the supervision of contract staff to assist in this aim.
3. Provide IT consultancy and services to local business planning and initiatives. This involves local site visits and requires local business and broad infrastructure knowledge.
4. Identify opportunities for the use of emerging technologies and improving the effective use of IT in the business
5. Promote, consult, and deliver Air Products IT software and hardware standards
6. Work with other Global IT organizations to provide timely infrastructure services
7. Support the customer's use of IT within Corporate standards and procedures (especially security and software related standards). This may include the provision of training courses, or other communications materials to customers.
8. Maintain the administrative systems with up-to-date information.
9. Provide network hardware upgrades and installations for Maintain Viability work where Network Technical Support would not be performing this role.
10. Maintain the corporate safety standards and IT standards for IT server rooms and Data centres within the incumbents area of responsibility.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Fluent communication skills in English - verbal and written. Good inter-personal communication is essential, both spoken and written. We have a multi-cultural user base, so good spoken communication is essential.
2. Basic knowledge of Project Management
3. Broad knowledge of the infrastructure tools and services used throughout the corporation (Networks, Servers, PCs, Printing, Security and Voice)
4. Previous experience using IT technical abilities in similar Infrastructure Project Management or support Organisation (more than 2 years global company work experience is preferred).
5. Field experience with supporting remote facilities
6. Ability to follow logical processes in problem solving, using existing knowledge systems and service area resources to provide an effective solution
7. Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, even under pressure situation
8. Ability to manage own workload, in accordance with departmental priorities
9. Willingness to work outside of normal business hours and at weekends if required to provide support for IT changes and projects
10. Good teamwork skills
11. Willingness and ability to travel
12. Flexibility to respond and adapt to new, different, or changing situations, requirements, or priorities
