Job Description:
JOB DUTIES:
Major Role: - this role translates strategy into tactical activities. To include: chartering projects, defining deliverables, implementing and executing.
People - This person will manage a team of purchasing professionals who carry out the work. This includes Analysts, Black Belts and Purchasing Specialists.
Leadership - Develop, mentor, and train personnel. Adhere to the approved Performance Management Plan. Identify performance gaps within the project deliverables and develop improvement plans for the identified gaps. Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards within this diverse global organization and recognize employee excellence.
Customers - Manage expectations, to deliver benefits required to sustain a competitive procurement advantage. The role requires a good communicator capable of keeping peers and stakeholders fully informed of progress and works closely with both to ensure all requirements are met. This role will interface with process partners to ensure alignment of strategies and activities.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills, good analytical and organizational skills.
Must be a self-starter, team player and have the ability to multitask effectively.
6 to 8 years of previous work experience in such fields as purchasing, supply chain, operations, engineering, product development, or marketing is required.
Desired:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or with technical focus highly valued
Demonstrated project management skills and experience with successful projects is desired.
