Logistic Controller

Overall Job Function: Responsible for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, planning, controlling and finance for the ecommerce fulfillment operation within logistics team

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

• Creates and monitors budgets for US online distribution center


• Reviews, evaluates, compares and analyses monthly actual-to-budget results


• Follows up on results and acts on deviations


• Ensures that the business plan within the function is being followed


• Provides management with various reports and analysis’ on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis


• Works with all levels of the online logistics team on issues including budgeting, assessment of cost reduction recommendations and comparison of actuals to plan


• Creates, monitors, and evaluates planning on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis with particular emphasis on actual-to-budgeted ratios


• Responsible for collaborating on and influencing 3PL staff planning in partnership with the Online Distribution team to ensure the highest level of operational execution in line with SLA’s and KPI’s


• Creates and implements new reporting tools as needed


• Coordinates various miscellaneous supplier agreements as needed


• Authorizes and negotiates all vendor contracts and / or amendments in partnership with appropriate Online Logistics Distribution Center Manager


• Partners with all levels within your organization


• Identifies cost savings opportunities and operational efficiency opportunities in an effort to reduce H&M cost in the 3PL pricing structure

· Joins and coordinates logistics and ecommerce projects as needed

Financial Accountability:

• Responsible for creating, approving and monitoring the budget for the location

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

· Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or management related field. CPA or CMA a plus

· 6+ years experience in logistics, accounting and finance as a controller or assistant controller

· Preferably experience working in a distribution center environment

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements:

· Advanced PC skills with Excel and Access

· 2-3 years of budgeting experience, including P&L, forecasting, etc.

· Must have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance practices

· Can see big picture and know when to show attention to details

· Team player

· Ability to look at business need and cost consciousness

· Excellent people and communication skills

· Ability to work independently and in a high pressure, multi-personality, fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

· Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.

· Ability to protect confidential information

· Excellent organizational skills
