Position description

Position purpose The position of a Senior Consultant is to serve as a mentor to the local analysis team, providing leadership, vision, and management in order to develop and improve Analysis and Reporting service through the implementation of open, honest, consistent and uniform processes and standards which are customer-centric and strategic in their approach delivering reports and analysis to our customers at a consistently high level of quality.

Main tasks and responsibilities
？ Coordination and management of the local Analysis and Reporting team.

？ Planning and coordination of the delivery of reports and analysis for customers both within the region and spanning other sales regions as necessary, ensuring their timely delivery

？ Performance of QA of reports to ensure a consistently high quality standard exceeding customer expectations

？ Maintain a close working relationship with the Sales Team, both locally and across other sales regions to drive awareness of analysis capabilities and to develop new solutions for our existing and potential customers.

？ Sharing of knowledge and expertise to the team, allowing the team to better understand the analytical and reporting requirements of our customers and create standard or bespoke solutions to fit.

？ Coordination of timely documentation of workload: on an on-going basis in Outlook and in Report Tracker as reports are completed and delivered

？ Review and approval of report quotations, ensuring completeness and accuracy as well as our internal capability to fulfil the request.

？ Monitoring of macro trends in the automotive industry (legislative, technology, customer buying habits, etc.) and propose areas where can contribute as significant shifts occur.

？ Operate in line with the guiding principles of the company to ensure alignment with the vision of the organisation.

？ Work together with technical support and training department to develop new customer business solution proposals
？ Liaise with potential and existing clients to understand complex requirements
？ Demonstrate an interest in new analysis topics and reporting technologies

Qualifications and Requirements Essential:
？ 5-10 years’ experience in product planning, pricing or marketing within the local Automotive OEM Manufacturer industry
？ Experience in managing a small team
？ Strong presentation skills
？ Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese both spoken and written
？ IT literate
？ Willing to travel (mainly within China but there may be a requirement to travel abroad)
？ Passport
？ Self-motivated with an ability to work with limited supervision and guidance.
？ Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
？ Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

Desired:
？ Some sales knowledge and experience
？ Experience working in automotive market research
？ Experience working in a consulting role in the automotive industry
？ High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
？ Willing to actively participate in analysis function
？ Knowledge of V4 and/or Carspecs software and/or its immediate competitors
？ University degree or equivalent work experience in related field (DB analysis, quantitative analysis, marketing sciences, statistics, mathematics, business, etc.)
？ Experience of working in a multi-national/matrix management environment
