Position: Market Manager Agro APAC

Report to: Product Line Manager APAC& Sales Manager APAC

Purpose:
? Support the Product Line Manager (PLM) for APAC in achieving the regional business goals, e.g. in term of cons. Gross Margin for the assigned market segment.
? Work closely with PLM and with related functions (e.g. IM, Cust. Serv., Product manager, etc) to set strategy for customers and markets to meet regional segment goals.
Responsibilities:
50% of Time
? "Coordinate, monitor and support sales force efforts, prioritize opportunities for segment in the region. Support and coordinate customer projects and support sales force in non standard issues. Use business tools such as CRM. Act as interface to customer service on day to day business.
? Direct handling of customers and generate sales growth with Break Thru portfolio in the countries: Philippines, Malaysia, Singapur, Indonesia, Thailand.
? Develop and implement distribution channel strategies to access smaller, indirect accounts."
20% of Time
? Support/Monitor the implementation of the regional strategy for the respective market segment including key objectives (i.e. revenue and margin targets. Assist RPM with the establishment of regional objectives, sales targets (i.e. cons. Gross Margin, price, cost goals), that are consistent with the global and regional PL strategy.
20% of Time
? Support sales activities for segment as marketing campaigns and product launches, support development of communication concepts (documentation, advertising, customer and market events). Conduct market research and analysis, trend scouting and competition monitoring, including market share data.
10% of Time
? "Regional responsibility of cons. Gross Margin for segment. Give input and support implementation of pricing policy for segment. Handle/coordinate rebates. Coordinate bottom up planning and forecasting for segment.
? Support Regional Product Line Manager in product portfolio adjustment.

Requirements:
? B. S. degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Agronomy, Biology or similar discipline
? Ideally 4-5 years of sales & marketing with relevant experience in Agro or related industry.
? Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication skills. Highly self motivated. Ability to work in international teams.
