Position: Technical Sales Manager Wind Offshore APAC
Report to: Sales Head (Foreigner)
Subordinates: 2
Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
? The main responsibility of Technical Sales Manager is world-class professional sales projects, with special focus on order-entry time, target EBIT, and customers.
? Performance is measured by customer satisfaction, market share, hit rate
? Initially this position will be Individual Contributor.
? Internally this position will interface with the Technical project management, Project management, contracting and commercial department.
? Maintain and develop contacts and relationship with customer on all levels, and identify important stakeholders.
? Actively pursue business opportunities and sales leads in a systematic and prioritized way. Initiation/drafting of tenders, assurance of proper technical and contractual handling, coordination of proposal development process.
? Lead negotiations through to close-up. Manage and coordinate efforts of the sales team, as well as of associated partners in the regional entities.
? Develop and execute Priority Account Plans, alternatively Marketing Plans
? Make analysis of pre-sales activities by won and lost orders, and draw conclusions for Account Plans.
? Collect / analyze market and competitive data and draw appropriate conclusions for Account Plans or ad hoc sales projects.
? Assess potential risks in coordination with resource delivery.
? Have responsibility for project business administration with focus on wind turbine supply.
? Obtain bid invest decisions; define bid strategy for the wind turbine supply.
? In case of turnkey projects: Responsibility for project planning and reporting, in cooperation with Turnkey Project Manager for Sales & Proposals.
Requirements:
? Bachelor or master degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent majors.
? Other degrees are also relevant, as long as the candidate has a strong technical sales profile, with proven track record in successfully selling technical projects in an international environment.
? Extensive experience in project sales or development, preferably for Wind offshore or onshore projects.
? If no experience in Wind, technical sales experience in the energy or power sector might qualify.
? Previous responsibility of complex projects in multilingual and multicultural teams and professional work experience with large customers.
? Project management skills (desirable), analysis of project economics.
? Technical understanding of wind projects.
? Customer and competitor knowledge.
? Wind Power product portfolio, processes and procedures.
? Knowledge of wind market development and trends, development of Account- and Marketing Plans.
? Negotiation skills, contract management knowledge as well as basic commercial knowledge.
? Self-motivated, passionate team player, ability to work in a cross-functional team.
? Intercultural sensitivity and experiences working in an international environment.
? Mobility: willingness to serve customers in entire APAC region (mainly China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea).
? MS Office (User), Lean.
? Fluent English (oral and written).
