Position: Head of Business Excellence
Report to: CEO
Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
? The mission for the Head of Business Unit BE is to operatively establish, maintain and optimize a global Integrated Management System (IMS = Q EHS) including required certifications according to the business requirements and the Sector/Division directives.
? He/she consults the BU management (CEO, Heads of Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing etc.) regarding current and future quality/regulatory requirements and risks.
? He/she drives together with the BU management continual improvement in order to reach world-class quality within the BU. He/she directs professionally all quality managers of the BU. In this role, he/she has the authority and is obliged to stop any processes and projects in cases where the corresponding quality and regulatory requirements are not fulfilled in the BU. He/she reports directly to the BU CEO and to the Head of Division BE (shared management responsibility). He/she steers via governance the Heads of QM in the BU controlled Local Entities. Steers the QM Representatives in other BU functions (e.g. manufacturing, EN, QMiP) via governance.
? Responsibility for the IMS of the BU and its effectiveness. Definition of policy and operational targets related to customer satisfaction, fulfilling regulatory requirements, process and product quality for agreement by BU CEO. Regular reporting on target achievement and performing management reviews with BU management. An integral part of the function is the implementation and the control of the mandatory elements of Company Quality Management (see task list) and internal assessments to what maturity level these elements are performed. Remark: E W as Division will only have one IMS, the responsibility definitely will go to Division BE, but the daily work most probably will stay in the regional BE.
? Contacts (internal/external)
? Internal: Reports to the BU CEO and to the Head of Division BE (shared management responsibility). Supporting contacts to key function owners such as line function and central function and to process and project owners on BU level. Steers the Heads of Quality Management in BU controlled Legal Entities via governance.
? External: Selective contacts to customers (e.g. sales support, complaint and customer satisfaction management), suppliers (e.g. workshops, issue escalations) and contact to legal/regulatory authorities and 3rd parties and committee support.
