Knowledge:
? Knowledge of automotive wheel and tire systems
? Knowledge of forged and cast wheels.
? Knowledge of tire construction and tuning parameters
? Knowledge of wheel and tire DFMEA
? Knowledge of validation procedures and execution
? Understanding of component and vehicle trade-offs of both wheel and tire
? Understand technical standards, part specifications, critical part characteristics and required process controls.
? 5 or more years experience in the development of wheel and tire components for automotive usage.
? Experience in wheel and tire testing and analysis.
? Experience in problem investigation and applying technical judgment to develop solutions.
? General business knowledge related to part sourcing and cost reduction.
? Other wheel and tire interface components or subsystems design experience.
? Experiences with multinational corporation engineering, quality, and manufacturing standards.
? Experience with GM processes, systems, and standards is desirable
? Previous Design, Supplier Development, or Supplier Quality experience.
? Expertise with problem solving tools i.e. 5 Why Analysis, 5 Phase, Red X, or similar.
? Experience with Design for Six Sigma.

Skills:

? Demonstrated high level of interpersonal communication skills to effectively lead, motivate, and facilitate others in group situations and instruct others in new techniques.
? Highly proficient oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
? Basic PC skills, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
? Proficient in math data access and interpretation, and part measurement.
? Ability to effectively organize and plan.

Experience/Education:
? Bachelor or master in Automotive Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree desirable.
? Knowledge of automotive wheels and tire systems
? Knowledge of validation procedures for wheel and tire
