Job Title: Production Planning Supervisor

Report to: Logistics Manager

Working Location; Changchun

Responsibility

A: Employee management tasks

1. Involvement in the hiring of new employees with regard to requirements profile, evaluation of suitability and working conditions as well as familiarizing new employees with the workplace and company equipment

2. Instructing and informing employees about methods, company

processes and workflows and equipment taking legal and company

regulations into account, including health & safety and environmental protection regulations; giving instructions about the rules and regulations for the prevention of accidents

3. Motivating workers in terms of taking the initiative, responsibility,

performance, cooperation, acting in an environment- and cost conscious way, awareness of safety issues, suggestions for

improvement (CIP, ESS) and further qualification

4. Involvement in the drawing up of appraisals of the employees with regard to trial period, productivity bonus and qualification bonus and implementation of personal and social measures

5. Coordination of the existing personnel capacities with the operational requirements, if necessary, arrangement with superior with regard to vacation plan for the workers

B: Production Planning tasks -

1. Leading Production Planning team by monitoring planners work by ensuring to set-up of feasible production plan (daily, weekly, monthly, long-term production plan) for Production departments.

2. Responsibility will cover material availability, optimum stock coverage and usage of the existing capacities for an extensive range of parts and follow-up of production orders / planned orders and due dates. Initiating short-term production plan changes to ensure smooth production in bottleneck situations and on-time escalation procedures to related departments, if necessary. Task range includes OtD and TtM related Production Planning work (e. g. co-ordinating tool and material try-outs, support of ECM) -

3. Regular checking and defining of optimal batch sizes, safety stock levels, lead times to continuously optimize Production planning (stock and availability) with the support of all relevant departments -

4. Responsibility to ensure the sustainable usage of SAP-PP-module according to standard and update of Logistics-related material master data for PP-module, e.g.: safety stock levels for in-house produced parts and finished goods.

5. Participating in or carrying out coordination meetings with internal and external staff with regard to technical production and scheduling problems

6. Ensuring regular Logistics reporting and analysis (e. g. Production plan fulfillment, demand changes, capacity situation) and independently optimization of the Production Planning area together with relevant departments

7. Carrying out intensive coordination talks and meetings with internal partners (Sales-, Material Planning, Production, Maintenance, etc.) measures to ensure system availability

8. Monitoring and continuous optimization of work execution and the working methods and procedures in use, involvement in planning and designing of the appropriate working areas

9. Involvement in Cost center and capital investment planning

10. Monitoring and implementation of measures for target achievement

11. Optimizing the supply chain within the context of department specifications for operative business in co-operation with relevant departments

School Education: Technical university degree and / or Qualification for technical college or similar qualification

Language Skills: English (mandatory)

Experience:

Production/Sales Planning Supervisor

Production Planning experience

Production Supervisor

Up to 5 years as Production Planner or higher

Up to 2 years Leadership experience

Additional Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

Profound knowledge of SAP-PP

Lean Production knowledge / TPM

Very good communication skills / Conflict Management

Analysis and reporting skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Knowledge of Lotus Notes

Environmental protection in the company
