POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

Perform all Control and Instrument equipment related maintenance including of the inspection, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and support for commissioning of C/I equipment in operated plants, new project sites and SOE facilities as needed. Coordinate all activities associated with the C/I maintenance and related facility maintenance.

Nature and Scope

The job holder is the Field technician and functionally reports to the maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

The incumbent has direct responsibility for all the maintenance activity and to coordinate the maintenance activities as required to meet the production demand and to commensurate with meeting all safety, environmental and health regulations and APCI requirements, while maintaining a safe, healthy and participative work place are required to meet this objective.

The position is required to locate strategically at one of facilities and would be possible to be flexibly arranged to another work location based on business need, this position is expected to respond to maintenance requirements on a 24 hrs per day, 7 days per week base.

Assist the planning job with the planner/supervisor in developing material requirements, methods, and manpower requirements for daily preventive maintenance work, corrective repairs and major maintenance work etc.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1, Ensure to comply with AP and local safety, health and environment standard, fulfill the mandatory safety requirement and activities: safety training, safety meeting, BSP (APT, JSA etc.) and all other requirements by AP EH&S and local regulation.

2, Monitor the serviceability of plant equipment and facilities and ensure they adhere to safety, housekeeping and environmental requirements.

3, Responsible for all instrument and control system equipment regular maintenance and repairing, such as all field instrumentation, valves, flowmeter, transmitter, control circuit, monitoring, DCS, PLC etc.

Response to maintenance requirements that could be scheduled or unscheduled/emergency jobs, on 24/7 base, prompt response to requests for assistance and putting in the time and effort to meet our customer’s expectations.

4, To be familiar with all equipment in plants, maintain all mechanical equipment accurate documents integrity and equipment history database reachable.

5, Provide hand-on technical skills to the troubleshooting and all related maintenance work or supporting work responsible.

6, Perform preventive maintenance work and support to implement MI work, such as SAP PM01-03 tasks, troubleshooting, repair for all responsibly equipment.

7, Coordinate or assist of supervision the contractor’s work in the facility or shop to guarantee safety and quality and reliability.

8, Continually to drive productivity and cost savings and enhancement through improved work process and equipment performance. Initiate and Implement CI (continuous improvement) saving projects.

Reporting-Time entry weekly, and prepare technical reports either written or through entries into the resource management system to maintain accurate documentations on the plants, and to provide information for others in the organization to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

9, Provide C/I diagnostics services in troubleshooting and resolving machinery issues using vibration diagnostics tools and failure analysis techniques. This includes issuing failure analysis reports and cost-effective recommendations for reliability improvements.

10, Develop control and instrument job-packs for major overhauls.

Initiate and implement reliability and/or efficiency improvement initiatives and best practices on operating machinery and focus on CoNC

11, Provide installation and commission support for new projects

12, Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns.

13, Spare parts inventory review and parts purchasing support technically, effort in plant reliability improvement.

14, Keep abreast of and evaluate new methodologies, work practices, for application and use within the plant.

15, Assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of preventative/predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned shutdowns and improve overall plant on stream capability.

16. Business travel within region is required based on the actual need.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Be honest and responsible

• Bachelor or higher education holder in instrument /control automation or other related field. Preferred the relative working experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment

• Working Experience: The minimum requirements for the control/instrument engineer’s position are 5 years experience in the same or similar industrial

• Strong working knowledge and hands on experience。

• Possess good oral and written communication skills, preferable with English language.

• Able to work independently as well as in a team player.

• Basic office software operation.
