职位描述
Job Title: Oil Pump Design & Development Engineer
Report to : Team Leader-Oil Pump Design & Development
Purpose
? Supporting vehicle engine and transmission oil pump development and volume production from the design phase to start of
production.
? Preparing of concept design and drawings, 3D model, detailed layouts as well as prototype and volume-production
documentation in compliance with the existing overall layouts and specifications of the team leader.
? Responsible for certain prototype and production parts.
? Keeping up and extending the project-specific know-how.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Responsible for solid modeling, detail and assembly drawings, establishing of new designs and layouts;
? Verification by means of calculation, tolerance stack up and clearance checks;
? Reviews all customer "Statement of Requirements' ("SOR') for completeness and summarizes technical challenges and ability
to meet performance and durability targets
? Designs, develops and supports test validation of Oil Pumps to customer SOR. Also supports and conducts customer
presentations, technical reviews, VA/VE sessions and reviews detailed Engineering Performance Reports for Oil Pumps or
Lubrication systems before submission to customers
? Supports benchmarking of selected oil pumps, to seek out new opportunities, technologies, materials or manufacturing
processes, and uses the results to help direct sales staff in identifying new opportunities
? Provides support to the Testing Department to ensure conformance of Testing to customer Statement of Requirements, and
reviews the results with testing staff to provide direction for corrective action if required
? Preparation of prototype/volume-production/homologation documentation. Preparation of testing orders, protocols, etc.;
handling and analyzing of test reports, problem reports, memos, product performance specifications, correspondence, etc.
? Volume-production support and execution of changes & modifications;
? Knowledge of the internal organization and manufacturing capabilities;
? Taking part in project teams (SE team)
? Working with technical calculation and CAD programs.
? Clarification of technical issues with suppliers;
? Attending of training courses
? Instructing the detail/external designers
? Remain in compliance with TS and QS policies and procedures.
? Familiar with Engineering Process, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Six Sigma Techniques, DFMEA,
PFMEA, VA/VE, QFD, DOE, Continuous Improvement Techniques.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
Minimum Bachelor degree with major in engineering disciplines, preferably in Hydraulic, Fluid Power, or Automotive
Engineering. 3-6 years experience in automotive environment. Master degree and/or experience on oil pumps, fluid power,
and hydraulic system are definitely a plus.
Language Skill
Minimum English Level 4, Preferably English Level 6. Must be able to communicate effectively using English.
CAD Skill
CAD proficiency preferably in Catia V5, but UG, ProE, and other CAD software also to be considered.
Travel Requirement
Overseas and domestic travel to be expected from time to time. Willing to spend several months either in North
America or in Europe for extensive training.
