Agriculture Programme Manager required for CottonConnect China, responsible for developing our farm programmes and manage/implement farm projects throughout China.

Responsibilities:
- Manage current more sustainable cotton projects including Better Cotton project, REEL cotton project and Organic Cotton project in China
- Develop new potential projects for Better Cotton, REEL Cotton and Organic Cotton with cotton farms in different provinces by different channels
- Build and manage local farm team in project area and expand current projects
- Develop training programmes and tools for farm development in key areas of sustainable farming - proper usage of fertilizers/pesticides, water management, improving soil health, decent work etc.
- Work with internal experts and external academic institutions to offer technical support to farmers to improve sustainable cultivation skills and reduce impacts
- Summarize reports requested by customers and send to customers in time, including Monitor & Evaluation reports, project quarterly and annual reports
- Establish strong relationship with key stakeholders such as farm groups, local partners, government departments, associations and academic institutions
- Develop new opportunities in other Southeast Asia countries like Myanmar and explore innovation platforms according to company strategy


Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in Agriculture or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in agricultural area, cotton planting is preferred
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Good proposal development and report writing skills
- Significant experience in developing and implementing agricultural training programmes
- Experience in crop planting, fertilizer and pesticides usage
- Strong people management skills, network of Govt. Departments/universities and research institutes /stakeholder relationships
- Experience in senior management role on team management, project management and financial budget management
- Travel within China and outside China
