Job Summary
-The product manager will work on a world wide basis within the company to ensure APC’s product ranges are
fully in line with market needs and company strategy.
-He will participate to the ranges development, make sure these will be understood by all sales forces and actively
marketed.
-He will provide the market and customer vision to the develoment team, and interact with Line Of Business
Business Development team in our 4 regions, LOB Marcom, zone players and CMO.
Responsible for :
-Gather, understand and organise the customers needs
-Issue the marketing specifications to meet market needs and company strategy
-Range positioning and messaging
-Range base pricing 1st level of technical and marketing support to zones
-Providing product launch and generic sales tools material
Essential functions
30 % - NPD program team participant
10 % - Defines sales tools kit
10% Set base pricing to meet market share and margin objectives
10% Define positioning and messaging
20% Play an active role to product and solution introduction
5% Coordinate the forecasting for product transitions and yearly production plan
5% - Identify product ranges future features and performances
5% - Coordinate competitive analysis
5% - Follow product range performance : volume, revenues, margins
Scope of product ranges
-The product ranges to be managed are :
-Our 3 ranges of products from 10 to 40 kVA :
-Smart UPS VT
-MGE Galaxy 3500
-MGE Galaxy 300
Secundary function
-product range perfomance in term of quality
-Participate to sales training
-Participate to conferences promoting the ranges.
Education
-Master's degree in business
-Technical degree
Experience (minimum)
- 3 to 4 years of product management experience
- A coupe of years in technical sales support
- experience in international environment
Experience 2 (desired not essential)
-Have a sales experience in power industry
Knowledge and skills
- Master the knowledge of applications being protected by the relative product ranges (vertical markets)
- Master the knowledge of players in the go to market route
- Master the knowledge of electrical environment of the UPS
- Demonstrate a good quantitative and analytical competencies
- Excellent at prioritising objectives
- high level of autonomy
- Organised
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and international environment
- Very good verbal and written English communication skills
- Good communicative skills with a persuasive personality
- The candidate must be able to learn and be comfortable in a work environment that is very process driven
Travel
-International travel on a monthly basis
