Position Summary

Design, implement and direct the management reporting and analysis of all actual and projected financial results. Assist and advise management in all Cabot financial matters. Design reports and processes to ensure that business management receives timely and relevant information in all financial activities with adequate analytical support. Lead and direct activities and operation of businesses to best achieve company plan and goals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

?Communicate business results to senior management team. Prepare and communicate forecasts, budgets and other financial information required by management.

?Analyze, interpret and communicate monthly financial results to management teams. Initiate studies to clarify results and define opportunities for profit improvement.

?Coordinate periodic financial forecasting and budget process for the business or functions.

?Ensure all financial transactions/activities are in compliance with statutory accounting principles, generally accepted accounting principles and corporate accounting policies.

?Design reports and processes to ensure that management receives timely and relevant information regarding all financial activities with adequate analytical support. Provide input and guidance for financial IT system design to support business needs.

?Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees, direct as well as matrix reports, and assuring effective alignment with the matrix functions.

?Supervise/coordinate financial analyst activities.

Required Skills

?Expert knowledge of financial principles and ability to apply in a business setting.

?Extensive experience within a corporate financial function (e.g. Treasury Planning, Financial Management, Real Estate, Tax Counsel, etc.).

?Ability to make decisions and take initiative in the absence of perfect information.

?Ability to build trust and gain support of personnel across organization.

?Ability to monitor and manage the performance and development of finance staff.

?Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education/Experience

?University degree in Accounting/Finance. AICPA / CFA / CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MBA is preferred

?Minimum eight years’ experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
