Class manager responsibilities:

The class manager plays a critical role in SetSail’s operations. He or she is responsible for the customer’s experience with the company. This person provides the crucial link between our teachers, students, and parents. The class manager ensures the customer is happy with the SetSail experience and ultimately has the goal of having each student purchase additional classes with SetSail. If this goal is reached, the class manager is rewarded financially.

Specifically, the class manager makes sure every course, which consists of many hours of lessons, runs smoothly from a technical and logistical perspective. Additionally, he or she makes sure our customers are happy with all the classes and teachers. Finally, if requested, the class manager may be called upon to provide teaching assistance to the student.

The person we hire will be part of a small, growing team and should be comfortable performing a variety of roles in addition to the class manager responsibilities. This person may be asked to help with translation,

岗位要求：
Example class manager tasks:
a) Coordinate schedules between teachers and students
b) Manage an extensive database that records and tracks student and class information
c) Set up and manage individual study files for customers
d) Work with the academic team to deliver instructions to customers
e) Engage parents by providing them with translated feedback from the teacher
f) Handle complaints, feedback, and other needs from customers
g) Sell follow-on courses to customers to help achieve sales targets
h) Provide technological assistance during each class

Class manager capabilities and qualifications:
a) Flexibility regarding working hours; classes will sometimes require you to be on call in the mornings (before 9am), at nights (after 9pm), and on weekends. You can generally manage these from anywhere (all you need is access to WeChat), but you do need to be on immediate call during our class times. Other than this requirement, you have significant control about when you do your work
b) Strong English skills; the majority of internal team communications and all of teacher communications are done in English
c) Basic Microsoft Office skills
d) Strong communication, time management, organization, and detail orientation skills; we are looking for self-starters who are self-motivated and can be effective remotely
e) Bachelor degree; candidates with experience in the education field preferred
