Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Reports to: General Manager in China
Based: Shanghai

Supply Chain Manager Role

CottonConnect is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to work extensively on managing the supply chains as well as driving new business. The Supply Chain Manager will understand the needs and operations of brands and retailers, combining this with their supply chain expertise to help establish linkages for sustainable fiber by building synergies between multiple stakeholders including key customers, supply chain partners like ginners & spinners and other players thereby on the supply chain facilitating end to end transparency & traceability. And this role will also support new business development in implementation of CottonConnect strategies on supply chain management working in close coordination with the Customer Team, Commercial Development team and the Operations Team in China, India and UK.


Working as part of a dynamic team, there will a wide-range of projects & assignments relating not just to the supply chain, but also to the other areas of work and related activities in close association with other teams within the organization.

This role is core to the future of CottonConnect not only in terms of its commercial and financial future but also in delivering the organisational mission and vision.

Key Accountabilities

? To facilitate end to end supply chain linkages by mapping & working with various actors from farm to retail for the supply chain of brands/retailers.
? Liaison with the brand sourcing team(s) to help link sustainable cotton in their supply chain.
? Help develop strong strategic relations with various stake holders in the brand supply chain.
? Help organize / coordinate supply chain meetings for the brands and their supply chain partners.
? Coordination with ginners & spinners for fibre procurement linkages for brands / retailers.
? Unlocking new opportunities and business models on the supply chain side for CottonConnect.
? Develop new business and new customers by working with global commercial development team and supporting by China team.
? Develop new supply chain offers and services for customers to grow the business.

Requirements:
? Bachelor degree or above in textile or related field
? At least 10 years of experience in working with textile supply chain, including brands and retailers
? Have a good connection with Chinese textiles and garment factories
? Understanding of sustainable supply chains and sustainability issues is an advantage
? Experience of developing innovative platforms and products
? Ambition and passion to help grow an exciting new business working in sustainability
? Good communication and interpersonal skills
? Fluent spoken and written English
? Self-driven and disciplined
