JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: SALES ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT: SALES
RESPONSIBLE TO: Global President
REPORTS TO: Global President
DUTIES:
1. Act as the principal company representative to Anthony Innovations customers in China.
2. Achieve sales revenue and gross profit budgets for the defined territory.
3. Actively canvas for appropriate new business that is in keeping with Anthony Innovations core competencies, profit objectives and mission statement.
4. Develop and formally present quotations to both existing and prospective new customers.
5. Implement sales and marketing strategies as detailed by the Australia based Marketing Dept. from time to time.
6. Inform management on important activities of customers, distributors, agents, and competitors.
7. Prepare China sales forecasts and budgets.
8. Daily interaction and liaise with Australia based Engineering Department on new products and inquiries.
9. Interaction with Chinese based Production Department where necessary.
10. Generation and timely submission of a monthly report to the Global President.
11. Other duties as specified from time to time by the Global President.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Relevant trade (tool making or similar) and/or engineering qualification (mechanical engineering). External sales experience (perhaps 5+ years) ideally within a plastic extrusion moulding or other similar technical environment. Some exposure to an industrial design environment. Whilst not essential, formal sales and marketing qualifications would be advantageous. Computer literate in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (E.G. SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL, PERSONALITY):
Self motivated, results-orientated person with strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to generate and conceptualize new sales enquiries/opportunities for Anthony Innovations.
SCOPE OF ROLE
Sales goal: 1.5Million RMB in the first year
Key internal relationships: Global President, Marketing Manager, Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Customer Service personnel, Finance personnel.
Key external relationships: Senior customer Engineering and Procurement personnel.
