Essential duties and Responsibilities

Implement procurement strategy, policies, procedures and KPI'S.
Negotiate pricing, terms and condition with suppliers.
Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.
Establish and maintain the cross functional dialogue between Engineering, R&D and Quality departments.
Implement total cost of ownership (TCO) awareness.
Propose cost saving improvement to engineering and R&D. Recommend modifications based on cost and component technology factors.
Lead the supplier selection - and qualification process.
Assist in leadership of Momentum idea generation workshops for both direct and indirect material. Follow-up to ensure ideas are realized and implemented in timely manner.
Analyze marked and business environment in order to assess present and future material availability.
Initiate appropriate risk mitigation activities.
Work with factory level purchasing team to:
1 Coordinate communications between suppliers and local purchasing to streamline and simplify the purchasing process in an effort to save costs
2 Evaluate areas where supplier consolidation is possible and help implement appropriate changes.
3 Track and report cost saving activities in a detailed manner.
4 Work to create and promote a safe working environment.
