职位描述

1. General position responsibilities: (Write a brief statement of the overall purpose, function and major responsibilities of this position.)

To develop a workable schedule utilizing manpower and material availability to achieve completion of production units to meet customer requirements as state in purchase order a production schedule, loading a material forecasting plan (A1 list) and maintenance of each.

2. Specific functions: (List all functions, in descending order of importance. Comment whether the duties are performed daily, periodically or occasionally. Explain those duties that are unusually complex.)

1) To produce a weekly production schedule; weekly
2) Maintenance of weekly production schedule; daily
3) To load computer system with a material forecasting plan; periodical
4) Maintenance of forecasting plan daily
5) Release jobs to manufacturing for completion daily
6) Expedite NIS material through the shop daily
7) Expedite purchase NIS part and transmit information to formen daily
8) Make all necessary changes to item master periodical
9) Make necessary substitution when possible occasional

3. Skill: (Complexity of duties)-(Explain what is required of the incumbent to comprehend an assignment to recognize the application of fundamental principles to specific problems, to exercise practical judgment in using knowledge acquired through training and experience, management techniques, etc. )

The incumbent must have the ability to communicate with fellow employees. He need a basic understanding of manufacturing principles, and understanding of material requirement planning, and a basic knowledge of accounting principles.

4. Educational requirements: (State the amount of preliminary training required of an incumbent to fulfill the complete requirements of the position.)

The incumbent should have a college degree in management or a related field. Have knowledge of material requirement planning or some similar manufacturing principles.

5. Experience: (State the amount of time required, on the average, for an individual having the specified educational background to acquire sufficient general knowledge of company or departmental activities or experience in another company or of related nature to assume the normal functions of this job.)

The amount of time it would take for an individual with a management degree and material requirement planning experience is approximately 3 to 6 months to be able to assume the normal functions of the job.

6. Nature of instructions received: (Initiative) - (Explain the degree of ability this job requires the incumbent to proceed alone and unguided in the performance of the duties. Specify the type of instructions given sheets, sales orders, invoices, etc. )

The incumbent must be highly self motivated and have the ability to make decisions that are in the best interest of the company. He must be able to follow through on 17 assignments such as factory authorization, production meeting comments, feed back from fellow workers, etc.

7. Accuracy: (Describe the probable monetary loss to the company resulting from errors in accuracy and in decisions. The description of consequences should be from errors made during the normal course of business.)

The incumbent, if not accurate could cause the company thousands of dollars on a single error. An error of an incorrect trim size, an error of putting the wrong part on a production unit then to repair it, the error of having a work slow down because of not having sufficient materials to do the job and having an error in the A1list can cause significant monetary loss to company.

8. Contacts: (Describe the degree of responsibility this job has for handing contacts - either inside or outside the company. Indicate how contacts are made, how often, whether contacts involve furnishing or obtaining information only, or whether they involve influencing others.)

The incumbent must handle the numerous contacts that he is presented with daily. The contacts are basically inside the company involving giving information to formen, sale, etc., reciving information from fellow workers and coordinating with other departments to produce a sufficient work schedule.

9. Mental effort: (Describe the amount of mental or visual concentration and attention required for the performance of work under normal operating conditions.)

The job requires that incumbent display constant mental effort in the performance of his responsibilities. The attention to detail is important to eliminate error that can be costly to the company.

10. Job conditions: (Describe the demands placed on the incumbent by the physical characteristics of the job. Specifically the physical effort and activity normally required, the environmental conditions which effort the employee's well being and the possibility of injury.)

The job requires that the incumbent be able to move throughout the plant so you must be physically fit. There is no lifting or strenuous effort required and little possibility for injury.

11. Supervision of others: (State the number of people normally supervised and the extent of the supervising responsibility.)

This job does not require the direct supervision of others, but the ability to direct others is a plus in of the job.

12. Equipment used on the job: (If appropriate - list all office or other equipment used by the incumbent in the normal performance of duties of the job.)
