Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Manager China is to take the lead in strengthening the tax position of all the business in China, manufacturing, wholesale, ecommerce and Retail.
The Tax manager works / has:
- As a tax specialist for the Chinese Management Team.
- Direct contacts with internal stakeholders and external tax advisers.
- Direct contacts with local government authorities.
- Direct contacts with local fiscal and branch organizations and institutions.
The Tax Manager China is the Local tax person under the Tax Control Framework, and:
1. Makes sure that all tax compliance are properly executed (Coordination role of GBS/external consultant).
2. Optimizes the tax position under the supervision and coordination of the Group Tax Dept.
3. Manage the effective tax rate in China of all business.
4. Supporting local M&A project, leads negotiations for Tax related issues for multiple projects and within the local jurisdiction.
5. Coaches from an expertise point of view Tax/Financial colleagues in the dedicated business areas.
6. Analyses procedures and processes, signals issues and opportunities within its own expertise.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, preferably with professional qualification (ACCA, CPA,etc.)
* A minimum of 10 years of large corporation tax experience gained in public accounting firms and multinational corporations, with a focus on corporate tax, transfer pricing and mergers & acquisitions.
* In depth knowledge of the China Tax legislation as well as PRC GAAP/IFRS.
* Broad exposure to the full range of Taxation matters as well as general Business Processes at all levels both, in Finance, Operations and Sales/Marketing.
