Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for increasing INTTRA business within the area of responsibility. He/she also needs to participate in multi-regional sales cycles to include: INTTRA global accounts, regional accounts, carrier sales and customer service teams, shippers and freight forwarders. In addition to developing new business and managing complex sales cycles for INTTRA, responsibilities also include carrier and shipper/forwarder training, reporting, and regional communications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Actively sell and promote INTTRA products to maximize the revenue from customers and carriers of the assigned territory or country.
Identify potential new customers using sources such as carrier leads, trade journals, referrals and general market knowledge.
Consult with target customers to understand their business process and recommend appropriate e-commerce solutions
Work with member carriers to promote e-business to target customers
Maintain strong interpersonal relationships with carrier operational and sales management
Develop relationships with regional/local offices of global accounts and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Identify i-Link prospects and conduct first level assessment of the potential partner's interoperability potential, and gain commitment from business management.
Complete all required documentation to support the initiation of an i-Link project
Drive new business with alliance partners
Act as project sponsor for integration projects, ensuring the project proceeds expeditiously and that projected returns are met.
Provide market feedback on product improvements to the Product Management group.
Conform to all reporting requirements as specified from time to time.
Monitor customer support and implement remedial steps in the event of declining support.
Traveling is required.
Position Requirements
Education & Professional Qualifications:
University graduate preferably in business/commerce.
Prior Experience:
Local with regional experience in shipping, logistics & sales - minimum 5 years
Shipping, logistics and SCM experience a MUST.
Proven track record in sales (consistently meeting set targets)
Experience in customer service and sales support related
Skills & Qualities:
Strong knowledge of local/regional logistics industry with good contacts and network with large shippers/accounts and carriers.
Preferably with IT knowledge
Excellent communication
Good facilitator, able to conduct meetings at senior level of diverse group.
Good presentation and communication skills - senior level.
Knowledge in Shipping, SCM and Forwarder software essential
Commercial and technical understanding of the internet and EDI.
Fluent English, native language of the assigned region/country.
Collaborative, good interpersonal skill, independent, self-starter and extremely results-oriented.
