KPMG's Risk and Compliance Services has grown substantially since its establishment. We help organisations improve their corporate governance practices, risk management and internal control systems by focusing on strategic and operational risk issues spanning different functions and operating units. We provide governance, risk and compliance services to support compliance with listing rules and other regulatory requirements, and assist in developing integrated frameworks that unify governance, risk, compliance and assurance functions.

We can also work with organisations to strengthen their performance and decision-making through the establishment of an Enterprise Risk Management system or through continuous auditing and monitoring approaches.

Responsibilities

1. Develop proposals and participate in project contract negotiations

2. Build long-term business relationships with new target clients and key executives

3. Develop a good network within the firm and closely work with cross-functional project teams

4. Plan, execute and manage risk and compliance projects

5. Liaise with senior executives and client project teams

6. Manage multiple/simultaneous engagements/tasks

7. Assist in monitoring departmental performance

8. Provide guidance to staff and manage staff performance

9. Plan and allocate staff resources to fulfil business requirements

10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal auditing/control, processes, risk management methodologies, current corporate governance, and regulatory developments/requirements, both locally and internationally

Qualification

1. A minimum of eight years working experience in the financial services, consumer markets, infrastructure industry, professional services firms, government/quasi-government sectors, or multinational corporations; candidates with experience in multiple industries or with MNC experience will have an advantage

2. Knowledge and experience in internal audit services and China Internal Controls Basic Standards Requirements

3. Qualified CICPA, CIA or equivalent

4. Demonstrated track record of leadership, client management and project management

5. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives

6. Strong client services orientation and accustomed to taking an active role in executing engagements

7. Strong team building, mentoring and leadership abilities

8. Strong communication skills with a good command of verbal and written English and Chinese

9. Experience in handling high impact and complex projects across borders/functions in a dynamic environment will be a definite advantage
