The Information Management business of the Company provides customers with high-quality scanners and image processing/management software. The Company supports its product offering with a global service team and a wide range of professional services that is continually expanding. Its products help organizations capture content from traditional and new sources and deliver the right information to the right place at the right time. The Company’s objective is to help customers find new ways to automate processes, improve customer interactions and make smarter business decisions.
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for the profit and loss of the Company’s Information Management business in Greater China. The job holder must clearly define the long-term strategic direction and short-term action plan for this business line. He/she must have the aspiration to maintain and strengthen the Company’s market leadership position in the competitive landscape.
This position must display excellent people management skills and serve as a role model for the existing sales team. He/she should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership for the business and the ability to mentor the team as well as improve team morale. This executive needs to create a culture of excellence within the team and motivate the team to overachieve.
Responsibilities:
? Establish the strategy and annual action plan for sales growth for the Information Management business in China. Define the strategic direction and go-to-market strategies. This position is accountable for revenue, market shares, operating margin and people management for this business line.
? Drive market development for this business – define target sectors and key customers, develop new business opportunities, oversee the sales team in the implementation of annual action plan.
? Ensure the effective alignment with the Business Line Regional Director in terms of strategic direction and resource allocation. Identify and coordinate resources within company to support strategic commercial developments.
? Responsible for the effective general management of the commercial team. Drive cultural changes within the existing sales team and establish an emphasis on result orientation and operational excellence. Ensure a fine balance among different go-to-market approaches (channel sales and key account sales).
? Drive capability creation within the Information Management business. Ensure the quality of the commercial team is aligned with business needs. Develop and retain top performing talent. Review and refine the existing performance metrics and sales incentive schemes, and ensure they are properly structured to optimize sales team’s performance.
? Regularly meet with major account customers and distributors as well as channel business to foster effective relationships and partner profitable business growth. Serve as a spokesperson and a passionate advocate for the Company’s brand in front of key customers and government bodies.
Qualifications:
? The successful candidate should ideally have relevant experience in sell through, sell to, sell with, eg sales, for imaging products or at least in products with high level of technology content. It is strongly desired that the candidate have had exposure to customers in the banking sector and public sectors.
? This candidate must have had overall commercial accountability for a business or a business line and proven track record of steadily growing a business. Minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in a sales or commercial role.
? Experience in channel sales management paired with key account / direct sales management experience.
? Strong strategic and operational skills. Excellent business Acumen – Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends and information that impacts on the business and organisation. Able to translate market trends and customer needs into business opportunities and action plan.
? Strong leadership and good team work spirit. Demonstrate the ability to work across boundaries and functions. Can gather the team around a goal and motivate the team to achieve it.
? Demonstrate record in building a result-oriented culture and a high performance team, structure and process. Track record in people development and talent management.
? Excellent leadership and people development skills. Manage people consultatively, balancing direction with facilitation. Be able to create an energizing work environment that is in-line with the Company’s values.
? Good command of Chinese and English, written and oral
? College graduate with MBA is desirable
