This is a solicitation for a scientist with an earned Ph.D. to participate in the day-to-day operations of an applications laboratory: duties will include participation in the development of new protocols and new applications using molecular biology and optical techniques in response to market and customer requirements as the technology matures. Additionally, the selected candidate will participate in the implementation of planning for workshops, lead seminars, participate in symposia and conference meetings, and prepare and deliver lectures. Other duties will include training of marketing and sales staff on existing as well as new developments or applications utilizing laser-based instruments, providing training for new customers, and effectively interface with management, engineers, and research and development. Communication of highly technical information to a variety of audiences ranging from students to highly trained professionals is essential; the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective speaking and writing skills.

Applicant must have received the Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a broad academic diversity to include specialized experience in microscopy, tissue sectioning (paraffin and frozen), and histochemical fixation and staining techniques. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience working with highly technical instrumentation utilizing lasers (i.e., confocal scanning laser microscopy, laser microdissection, optical trapping, or flow cytometry). Preference will be given to candidates who additionally can demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge and experience in molecular biology techniques involving PCR, in situ hybridization or in situ PCR, and RT-PCR.

    公司下属厦门麦克奥迪医学检验所，系福建省卫生厅批准设立的第三方病理实验室。独立开展临床医学检验和病理科业务，接受各类临床体液、血液及组织病理学、各类细胞学、分子病理标本检测等。检验所拥有专业技术骨干近30人，其中有正高职3人，副高职1人，主治医生4人，技师20人，以及外籍专家2人。
