Job Details:
Quality Assurance Engineers (QAE)
Report:
- To report directly to the Chief Representative Officer / Office Manager
General Description:
The QAE owns the production responsibility. The QAE is involved in project startup and assumes responsibil¬ity once product, customer expectations and supplier has been detailed by BD. If new sup¬plier, the QAE is responsible for conducting factory audit. The QAE will follow the project, while ensuring compliance to internal/external standards and customer expectations. The QAE will lead sample review with BD and approve sample. Upon receipt of formal order, the QAE will develop Technical Document and conduct pre-inspection according to Technical Document. Furthermore, the QAE will analyze QC reports and conduct root cause analysis on recurring defect and in addition follow claims/complains with root cause analysis. Finally, the QAE is responsible for conducting and managing on-going product and material testing according to nominated protocols. The QAE must constantly work together with suppliers and business developers to ensure continuous quality improvement
List of Main Responsibility:
1. Perform factory audits
2. Assume product development responsibility, when requirements have been clearly defined and sup-plier has been nominated
3. Participate in sample review, update product development report accordingly
4. Approve samples and co-sign product development report and ensure reference sample is kept by supplier.
5. Create Technical Document (TD, PL and AI) and ensure supplier understanding and signature
6. Perform pre-inspection according to TD and drive necessary improvements
7. Conduct root cause analysis when process variance (SPC), customer claim or customer complain
8. Follow-Up on root cause analysis – ensuring on-going compliance
9. Coordinate with BD in optimizing product cost, manufacturing efficiency and quality compliance
10. Conduct on-going product testing and ensure suppliers follow established customer standards
11. Carry out in-line and final inspection when required
12. Any other assignment given by the Chief Representative
QUALIFICATION
- Female or Male. University graduated
- Minimum 5 years experienced as QA/QC for Indoor Furniture – metal, wood and panel furni¬ture is preferable.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes including sourcing, development, production and qual¬ity is desirable
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively (knowledge and respectfully) both verbally and in writing
- Good command of computer, working knowledge of Windows, word processing, and spreadsheet
- Being comfortable and have working experience with foreigners
- Ability to work under pressure, to work in team and independently, has initiative and pays attention to detail, excellent time management.
- Ability to get along well with others, must be well organized and professional manner
- Have a Positive “Can Do” attitude, organized and with strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Honest, responsible, keen to learn and hardworking, well presented individual - good appearance and active.
