We are strengthening our R&D activities to ensure a strong high quality portfolio of new blood gas analyzers. We are developing the leading technologies of the future analyzers and therefore need the best in class mechanical design to ensure an outstanding UX, robust design and the fastest test time ever.

As our new mechanical designer you must drive the design from concept to final verified production at Radiometer in co-operation with a design team in Copenhagen. You will be a part of a mechanical design team of 5 designers. The team works closely together with a R&D team located in Copenhagen and reports directly to the mechanical team leader and program manager.

The job

To become successful, you must be enthusiastic and feel strongly for mechanical engineering and excellent designs, and you enjoy sharing your passion with your colleagues. Your responsibilities and tasks will include:

• Combine theory with practical and systematic execution.
• Develop and design own mechanical constructions taking other engineering disciplines into account.
• Participate in improving the current methods, and ensure that the optimal Mechanical Engineering methods and procedures are implemented across the team.
• Secure effective use of modeling (CREO / Pro E), simulations, solid tolerance calculations etc.
• Create 2D documentation and design rapports.
• Keep up-to-date with new technology and make recommendations for the Mechanical Engineering tool-box and processes

You should expect and enjoy travel activity app.40 days per year. And with a training period in Copenhagen for min. 3 md.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer (B.Sc./M.Sc.)
• English is a requirement;
• Solid practical and hands-on experience with mechanical constructions.
• 3D, 2D experience, CREO / Pro-E would be a benefit.
• Experience with dynamic and kinematic analysis of motion systems.
• Experience with design in plastic and metals
• Experience with Quality Assurance.
• Experience with interface analysis of total construction.
• Experience with modeling and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with design for lean manufacturing.
