Job Description: Accountant
With current expansion plans in China and with new opportunities opening everyday now is a great time to join Regus.
The Accountant is responsible for providing accurate, timely and quality, professional service, which encompasses accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and general accounting for our new business centre in Beijing. The Accountant will report primarily to the Area Director and work closely with our Centre team to ensure all accounting processes are in accordance with Regus policies and procedures. The Accountant will also be involved in ad-hoc accounting projects as directed by Financial Controller China.
Key responsibilities
· Accounts Payable activities (e.g. invoice coding and recording, petty cash reconciliation, overhead and supplier cost monitoring)
· Accounts Receivable activities (e.g. data-entry of invoices, collection follow-up, bad debt worksheet compilation, client deposits/refund processing)
· Banking & Treasury (e.g. data-entry of debtor payments into general ledger, bank account reconciliation)
· Centre Billing Operations (e.g. client billing record collation, account summary, monthly reporting)
· General Administration (e.g. payroll preparation, maintenance of staff leave records, issuance of employment contracts)
Ideally you will possess
· Basic qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or Commerce
· A minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in multinational environment in service industry
· Experience in performing administrative business support, daily accounting and monthly and year-end closures
· Experience in working with integrated accounting software, Sun Account would be an advantage
· Good knowledge of information systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.) and email system
· Team player, flexible, open-minded, commercial, responsible, independent
· ?Able to work and prioritise in a constantly changing environment, used to working under pressure within tight deadlines
· Languages: Chinese Mandarin native speaker, good English is a plus
· Permanent residency with the right to live and work in Beijing is necessary
