职位描述
Position Purpose:
· Develop and execute plans and strategies for the direction and administration of the department’s business activities, including operation management, customer service, sales, materials management, tool engineering, cost estimating, product engineering, manpower control and technical service, to meet the objective of the company based on corporate and department goals and policies.
· Ensure the department optimise contribution and profit and ensure a long term growth.
· Gain new business to increase revenue, profit and market share.
· Consistently improve customer’s satisfaction with our services.
General Areas of Responsibilities:
· Direct and administer the department’s business activities, including operations management, materials management, quality control, tool engineering, cost estimating, product engineering, manpower control and technical service, to attain objectives based on corporate and department goals and policies.
· Direct development of business plans and strategies consistent with short and long-range objectives of the department.
· Direct immediate subordinates in the management of their assigned areas to ensure that their responsibilities to attain objectives and satisfactory customer service, operation and performance are met in a way that is consistent with established policies and programs.
· Keep a good working atmosphere in the department and that all staff are always following all regulations set up by the company or by customers in which area he is working.
· Analyse and appraise, regularly and systematically, the effectiveness of all operations to ensure that established objectives will be met,, that corporate and department policies will be observed and that immediate corrective action will be taken when necessary.
· Develop and maintain an effective organisation and to motivate and maximise the use of departmental manpower.
· Develop management and supervisor talents necessary to obtain short and long-term goals by effective direction, counselling and training according to an overall manpower planning.
· Review and evaluate contracts and appropriations and expenditure requests submitted by immediate subordinates.
· Determine and establish, through join consideration and planning, long and short term production objectives consistent with existing sales, projected sales forecasts, inventory requirements, and other factors involved.
· Review reports on operation activities, performance, and results and initiate action to correct deviations and variables as to schedules, excessive costs, materials shortages, or other deterrent factors.
· Recommend changes in existing policies necessary to the improved conduct of the business.
· Provide the most reliable projections of future performance that can be developed, as well as reliable reports of current performance. Ensure that this information is communicated to the General Manager.
· Prepare CS related budget and ensure CS activities are performed based on budget.
· Ensure that safety standards/requirements are met in all departments and comply with local rules and regulations and always keep abreast with any new rules/regulations being implemented.
· Keep environmental control and ensure that the company and its employees are not violating the local rules and regulations regarding noise, sewage pollution, chemical waste, etc. Always keep abreast with latest rules and regulations.
· Submit periodic reports to the General Manager within given deadline.
· Be familiar with the terms and conditions of existing contracts with clients/vendors and negotiate new contracts if necessary.
· Control all the EMR operations are meeting the requirement in a smooth and business like manner.
· Responsible for the control of the cost under own jurisdiction and provide all information of cost, income, etc. to Finance department and management in accordance to requirements and account procedures established. Always do utmost to reduce cost in all respect and investigate new procedures for same and increase income whenever possible.
· Ensure the department is adequately staffed in terms of number and quality of staff to handle existing and future committed business.
· Ensure that all staff of the department is equipped with a detailed job description and a SMART KPI.
· Perform staff appraisal in accordance with company standing procedures.
· Continuously evaluate staff’s education/skill level, suggest, coordinate and monitor training and education for staff.
· Measure and monitor efficiency in the department to ensure maximum utilisation of resources and the highest possible productivity.
· Survey competitors through preview of information from internal and external sources for sales and marketing strategy purpose.
· Carry out such other duties, tasks and ad-hoc projects as instructed by the General Manager.
· Take HSSE role, coordinate HSSE issues with Group HSSE department.
Specific Areas of Responsibilities:
· Ensure good coordination and communication between sections.
· Keep the operations off-dock. Maintain good services and communication with these depots to protect the operations against competition.
· Keep abreast of the terminals’ development, closely coordinate and communicate internally and with the terminals to ensure we get exclusive operations as far as possible.
· Keep good relationship and constant dialogue with terminals and depot operators and customers, all stakeholders.
· Manage BRG depot, if applicable, to ensure proper plant and depot management, optimise the capacity, make decision to overflow box timely to qualified depots to ensure satisfactory services delivery.
· Review present system requirements, suggest for system implementation to ensure system can support CS operations and continuous growth.
· Ascertain cost leadership.
· Abide by Mission and Vision.
· Keep close coordination with operations of other locations to ensure sharing of best practice and consistency in policies, procedures and performance measurements, etc.
· Setup quality and thereby reputation/branding.
Measurements for Job Performance or Critical Success Factors:
· Ability to meet key personal objectives as specified in annual performance appraisal.
· Ability to roll down company and department goals down the organisation, measure/monitor and correct subordinates performance to ensure they are meeting their KPIs.
· Ability to meet and exceed the approved budgets, business plans and to achieve other CS objectives.
· Number of suggestions for profit improvement/cost reduction.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to enhance efficiency and productivity and reduce cost through automation.

Specific Requirements for the Position:
· 5 years operations or commercial experience with 2 years in managerial position in Container industry, Shipping, Terminal, Logistics industry.
· Extensive knowledge in dry and reefer containers repair services and depot operations experiences.
· Fluency in both written and oral English skills and Chinese
· Strong communication and interaction skills preferred gained from multi-national company.
· Result orientated and positive “can do” attitude.
