Major Responsibilities
1. Participate in the category team; act as responsible for supplier quality for defined supplier within the category.
2. Work with direct sourced external supplier to ensure their quality performance meet requirements, including the adaptability, stability and effectiveness, as well as supporting these suppliers from a technical point of view.
3. New supplier quality qualification according to global procedures, to ensure that the supplier is capable to be a supplier.
4. Conducting quality audit of existing suppliers according to the supplier audit program.
5. Conducting new components qualifications according to global procedures,to ensure that suppliers deliver the required quality for new projects. This includes also requalification of existing components.
6. Be a valuable support in R&D projects.
7. Complaint handling towards the supplier based upon field quality issues (CAPA).
8. Follow up on supplier corrective actions on day to day issues and maintain applicable statistics.
9. Be responsible for component quality from the beginning to end of life.
10. Reviewing and approval for relevant change request in relation to quality, to ensure suppliers always respond correctly to ECO.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
2. Above 3 years' relevant working experience in quality assurance area or production environment as Supplier Quality Engineer, Process Quality Engineer or similar.
3. Good ability to interpret technical specifications.
4. Good knowledge in ISO900X, ISO13485 (FDA/GMP, European MDD) and other relevant quality standards.
5. Good knowledge in statistical process control and statistical techniques.
6. Excellent user of MS office package, MS Access and Navision is a plus.
7. Fluent English in both oral and written.
