As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for contributing to improve Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organization to ensure an exemplary HSE culture as well as a strong focus on the environment, in Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China.

Reporting to the Company Manager/JV Manager, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Ensure effective risk management through HSE excellence and “don`t look the other way” along ABB`s value chain.

- Developing and maintaining environmental, occupational health and safety management system and related process
- Identifying and collecting HSE legal requirements, driving the deployment of HSE legal requirement in various business functions, monitoring the compliance of HSE legal requirement and ABB internal regulations
- Leading the risk assessment processes of responsible organization, working together with related departments to identify occupational environmental, health and safety risk throughout the working processes and make prevention and control measures accordingly
- Providing HSE expert advice to the responsible organization and their operation processes
- Planning & conducting necessary occupational health and safety trainings to enhance employee’s safety awareness
- Conducting regular safety inspections or audits, supporting the responsible departments to find out the causes, monitoring and tracking the implementation of the corrective and preventive measures
- Preparing monthly EHS management reports. Performing accident investigations to determine probable cause
- Complete the other working issue assigned by HSE dept. and manager

- A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in engineering, technology or safety
- At least 2 years HSE related working experience is a must. Foreign company / supervision career related working experience are preferred
- Good knowledge and internal auditor certificates of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- CET-4, ability to use written English as a working language, fluent oral English is preferred
- China Certified Safety Engineer is preferred
