Contribute with own ideas to identify, propose and implement innovative technology development and solutions. Solve industrial problems independently.

- Being responsible for working on time, on cost and on quality for fulfillment of market requirement and technical requirements for new product development.
- Building technical competence and retaining ABB technology advancement, continuously optimizing performance and cost of the active product.
- Product designing of Low Voltage Switchgear on time, cost and quality, using functional design methodology and simulation to achieve good product reliability and robust design.
- Making prototype and testing to validate the design fulfill the technical requirement.
- Following type test and ensuring the product can be released to market.
- Designing sustainable maintenance of active products, optimizing product cost of the active product.
- Qualifying design deliverables and enforce R&D competences, intellectual property (IP) and risk management.
- Communicating/cooperating closely with overseas and local stakeholder, customers and quality focus.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Must have bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical engineering, mechanical design or electrical engineering with min. 5 years’ experience in R&D.
- Should be familiar with designing validation procedure of new product, with the commonly used engineering materials and related manufacturing / processing.
- Should have knowledge about low voltage switchgear and standards to make verification testing program according to standards.
- Must be proficient in mechanical CAD, e.g. Creo, AutoCAD and MS office.
- Must be fluent in oral and written English. Capable of reading and express technical solutions in English.
- Good communication skills and team spirit, being able to manage an R&D project required.
- Must be self-motivated, innovative, structured and systematic thinking, strong result-driven, high quality and high speed work independently.
