Job Purpose/ 职位目的:

    

The Senior Product Development Engineer will be responsible for chemical suits design and development including design for excellence, introduction to manufacturing and continuous improvement for the life of the product.

  

He/She will collaborate with global and local team on new product developments, acting as technical lead and in some cases as project manager. He/She will work on new and novel designs, materials, and assembly techniques to develop products that meet or exceed customer needs while balancing manufacturability design constraints for cost and quality. He/She will be responsible to ensure clear communication of project status, constraints, risks and timeline with the global and local team.

    

Specific Accountabilities/ 具体职责:

•  Collaborate with cross-functions including Marketing, S&OP, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, EH&S for new product development and introduction, ensure the time/cost/quality under control.
• Responsible for technical execution for development and introduction of new products and process technologie
• Collect information of PPE industry, including PPE trends, new technologies, materials and processes, evaluate and develop new technologies/products to improve product competitiveness within the market
• Promote and strengthen Design for Excellence (DFX) in alignment with global R&D design team, with focus on whole suit product design to balance manufacturability, usability, cost, quality, performance, and other key considerations.
• Improve margins and product cost through products upgrade with new technologies/processes;
• Support operations in key strategic process improvement projects to achieve lower cost, higher quality and productivity.
• Other jobs assigned by line manager

  Education level/ 受教育水平: 

Majored in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering，Materials Science and Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related, bachelor or above.

 

Experience/经验:

1. 5-year experience in new product development, and in which at least 3-year NPD leading experience in multinational environment.

2. At least 3-year experience in project management.

3. Plastic/rubber parts design and development experience is a plus;

4. PPE background is a plus.

Language/ 语言水平:

  CET-4 above with excellent command of English listening, speaking, writing and reading  

Computer/ 计算机水平:

Proficient in Office software

Competencies胜任力：

1. Passionate with product development, marketing trends and new materials/technologies.

2. Rapidly assess technical challenges, creative problem-solving skills.

3. Familiar with process technologies of nonwoven/plastics/rubbers etc.

4. Highly responsible with strong learning ability, good communication skill and teamwork spirit, self-motivated.

        Good at AutoCAD and Solidworks is a plus
