POSITION PROFILE
The Credit Accountant has the overall responsibility for the active management of all aspects of the Accounts Receivables for their assigned country cluster.
Daily activities will include, upfront involvement in the Credit Review of new customers as they are set up. Relationship management & pro-active interaction with customers. Resolution of queries & disputes in accordance with agreed Kodak Alaris process. In accordance with K.A Credit Policy, timely collection of customer payments & actions to resolve overdue accounts.
Fulfilment of periodic reporting requirements such as Cash flow forecasting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
(1) Evaluation of the credit worthiness & appropriate credit limits, of new accounts, and in accordance with the K.A Credit Policy.
(2) Conduct scheduled credit limit reviews and as required to resolve credit bloc
(3) Provide instructions to maintain / update Customer Master Data in terms of credit limits, payment terms and C&C Rep assigned.
(4) Pro-active customer interactions to facilitate timely collections.
(5) Issuing of customer statements.
(6) Resolution of queries & disputes in accordance with K.A policy & process.
(7) Proactive communication with assigned customers -via telephone and e-mail- to collect overdue accounts and understand any new issues.
(8) Escalation of collection issues, where required, to line management.
(9) Process credit card and cheque payments where received as part of the dunning cycle.
(10) Respond to ad-hoc requests from management for information or analysis as may be enquired.
(11) Produce the Cash Flow Forecast at regular pre-defined intervals.
(12) Act upon Key Performance Indicators.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

Job Requirements:
(1) Minimum 3 years Credit and Collection experience.
(2) Must be fluent in language(s) required for the assigned country cluster.
(3) The applicant must display a positive and proactive attitude.
(4) A strong communicator in both written verbal communications.
(5) Attention to detail is essential with sensitive commercial and financial data.
(6) Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
