Job Responsibilities:
1. The candidate will perform quality inspection of the products at the supplier's facility. The goods to be inspected could be the following: finished or un-finished sport clothes and raw material, gloves, shoes covers, etc. The goods should be inspected as per the product specification sheet, catalogue and other quality documents and standards from LGS.
2. After every inspection, the candidate will send a written inspection report, mentioning his observations any product deviation from the specifications, to the required people of the Canada and China team.
3. During the visit to different suppliers, the candidate will also make sure that the production and development schedule is respected. He or she will be responsible of keeping the production and inspection schedule up to date.
4. The candidate will contact the suppliers on a regular basis to obtain the updated production and delivery information of the products.
5. The candidate will be responsible of communicating the quality information between the Canada team and the supplier. He or she will request the appropriate corrective action to the supplier.
6. The candidate will provide technical support regarding LGS products to the suppliers. He or she will transmit LGS quality standards to the supplier, ensures that the production equipment is adequate and if necessary, will decide of the corrective actions to be taken.
7. Maintain good relations with the different suppliers.
8. The candidate may also need to verify if the supplier respect our company's code of ethics.
9. The candidate will also be required to perform other tasks required by the LGS management.
Job Requirements and Skills:
- Has knowledge of clothing production, sewing equipment and techniques. Experience in sport clothing is an asset.
- Experience in quality inspection.
- Has a college degree in a related domain.
- Be available to travel within China and occasionally abroad.
- Bilingualism is required – written and spoken (English and Chinese)
- Being able to work easily with foreigners.
- Has a minimum of 1 year of experience in similar functions
- Able to work with computer with English software. Is familiar with MS office (Excel, World, Outlook).
- Can communicate technical information effectively
- Has a good sense of detail and rigor
- Can solve a quality problem effectively.
- Good team work and spirit.
