Business Development Director

Location: Shanghai, China
Leading CRO Company offers fully integrated pharmaceutical services for the global scientific community and is focused on providing an exceptional client-centered experience and advancing the drug discovery process. The headquarters is located in Zhang-jiang High-Tech Park in Shanghai as well as an additional facility in Chuan sha Economic Park. They are seeking talented specialists to join their team.

Key responsibilities:
l To be responsible for developing corporate marketing strategies and tactics to maximize sales growth of full line product portfolio with primary or shared responsibility for sales management, product development, channel management, public relations, pricing/market research and customer service.
l To develop and manage large-scale, multi-party projects (clinical trial investigations)
l To Influence peers for the direction of company products, legal and finance.
l To facilitate the proposal process for specific clients/sponsors including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and involvement in client presentations.
l To contribute to achieve national/international reputations of company products resulted in substantive sale enhancement for the organization.
l To manage effectively company sale force and relationship with major customers.
l To formulate complex, straightforward proposals in conjunction with various functional groups, CROs, academic medical centers.
l To develop commercial strategy, service positioning, communication platform, market building/shaping plan and stakeholder engagement.
l To drive and execute business plan through effectively working with various functional teams
l To develop internal training materials, patient education programs effectively
l To focus the outcome of the negotiations/proposals on conveying the expectations set forth for each group.
l To establish and maintain ongoing, client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
l To provide commercial input into asset teams to optimize development decision for registration and life cycle plan to meet market needs.
l To work with the research teams to identify early opportunities for new products/ collaboration and facilitate deal teams
l To participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
l To perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications & Skills required
l B.S./ M.A./Ph.D/MD. in biotechnology,chemistry,preclinical, biomedicine, or related field. The MBA degree is preferred.
l At least 10-15 years experience in CRO working experience with sales management. Skills
l Demonstrated strong leadership skills and successful BD experience.
l Demonstrated excellence with oral and written communication skills at making business presentations.
l Demonstrated ability to use good analytical skills.
l Strong team player and team-motivation.
l Excellent working environment English communication skills are preferable.
l Program development and change processes skills
l Proven ability to use influence and persuasion to achieve desired outcomes in a matrix organization.
l Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
l Experience with budgeting processes.
l Need is for a critical thinker, creative and flexible to processes.
