POSITION SUMMARY:
The Integration Manager / Product Specialist provides product and integration expertise throughout the Information Management organization to help drive sales and partner/customer satisfaction. This role serves as final point of escalation for all product and integration issues, provides valuable information to support decisions on commercialization and life cycle management, provides technical support to win large potential orders (LPOs) and maintains active technical relationships with important ISVs (Independent Software Vendors).
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product “Expert”
? Kodak Alaris products (Features / Functions / Operation / User Experience / Performance)
? Application of products in customer environments
? Integration of products into major software platforms (Kodak Capture SW, Kofax, ISIS environments, ECM, ERP, Forms Processing / Text Recognition SW Packages)
? Key features and performance of competitive products
Product Advocate
? Assume ownership of product issues and gaps – with appropriate task management and collaboration with Product Development/Engineering, Service and Operations
? Act as the customer’s representative, providing key input to all commercialization and Current Product Engineering (CPE) efforts. Serves as an advocate for the customer (based on “expertise” and collection of customer data/information) in business decision process.
? Interact directly with the field or customer to identify ongoing product issues, resolve them if possible, collecting and presenting information to the multifunction teams. Drive these product issues to resolution, regardless of "who owns them".
? Track major issues for the products and distribute a report biweekly to the Regions. Participate in a regular call with the Regions to share and receive relevant information
? Exception Post-Sales support – support product issues / consulting to WW Service Engineers on integration/driver issues as needed. Serve as primary escalation point for hot issues that cross organization boundaries.
? Support marketing initiatives e.g. Perfect Page from a technical/integration perspective
? Respond to ad hoc queries
? Support full understanding and benchmarking of Kodak Alaris products. Maintain detailed record of “un-published” specs and performance, e.g. MTBF, speed at 600dpi, etc. – that may be required to support a legitimate customer need/inquiry.
? Support benchmarking of competitive products related to features, specs and performance.
? Support positioning of Kodak products especially on a technical level related to features/performance
ISV / Reseller & Region Support – Integration Management
? Provide technical support for pre-sales and integration issues to ISVs, System Integrators (SI’s) & Regions.
? ISV technical account management and technical support – first and primary contact across products.
? Maintain base level of technical level understanding of ISV’s
? Supply the regions information required to help System Integrators successfully integrate Kodak Alaris products
? Reseller technical integration support as needed.
? Coordinate release and provide support for alpha/beta versions of product/firmware/software to ISVs as required
Commercialization & Life Cycle Management Support
? Assist Technical Product Manager / Category Directory / Category Manager in representing the market and customer needs. Work closely with Technical Product Manager and Product Development to develop new ideas for growth. Act as a sounding board for concepts, customer issues, etc. Share information about the market and competition gained through ISV’s or other sources.
? Support new product commercialization with knowledge transfer to internal and external audiences, especially in the areas of specific customer or market requirements and technical integration
? Consult on Commercialization / Life Cycle issues
? Participate on the product MFT meetings on plans, technical support and integrations. Support achievement of Shipping Approval by committed dates.
? Review and/or create integration documentation as needed (including review of relevant program documentation such as Product Requirements Document (PRD), System Specifications, User Guides, Marketing documents as needed)
? Pre shipping approval technical support of early unit placements, marketing events and betas
? Assist the development of technical training for Regional Technical Managers – especially in advance of product shipping approval
? Enable pre-sales support by the field sales force (Regional Technical Managers, Sales Managers) in advance of Shipping Approval by providing information/training at the appropriate time covering: software interface/integration, feature functionality and known limitations.
? Provide early sales pre-sale support on limited high value sales cycles
? Provide gate material related to product integration
? Communicate integration plans for new products
LPO and General Pre-Sale Product/Technical Support
? Support Large Potential Order (LPO). Coordinate worldwide technical response working with Project Management, Development, QA, Service, and the appropriate Technical Product Managers. Responsible for getting the technical win when special support (i.e. involvement of Rochester) is required.
? Coordinate support for special pre-sale requests for customers such as an image sample
? Coordinate release and provide support for alpha/beta versions of product/firmware/software to customers as required
General
? Regularly communicate to internal and external audiences as required:
o ISV Relationship / Integration Status
o Technical & Integration Support (Regional Technical Mgrs. & WW Service)
o Integration Manager Report (product issues)
o Relationship building / communications
? Shield development resources from integration support calls/efforts and help to make required interactions productive.
? Submit Change Requests (CRs) and Product Requests (PRs) based on customer and region feedback.
REQUIREMENTS:
? Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
? At least five (5) years of experience with document imaging products in system engineering, pre-sale support, service, and/or product development.
? Knowledge of Kodak Alaris Scanner and Capture Software products
? Knowledge of Windows / Linux operating systems, TWAIN, ISV software environments (Kofax, ISIS environments, ECM, ERP, Forms Processing / Text Recognition SW Packages)
? Customer use and application of scanners
? General knowledge of computing environments, client/servicer, web services, etc.
? Understanding of Information Management marketing and sales organization and processes for selling to and servicing partners and customers.
? Proficient understanding of capture & ECM applications
? Aptitude to learn quickly.
? Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to Communicate in Chinese and English.
