JOB PURPOSE
The IT Technical Specialist role is designed to support and administer the regional IT systems. The tasks include both reactive and proactive support to ensure the availability, performance and integrity of Burberry IT systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for resolving any reactive incidents in a timely fashion, within the agreed SLA and to the high quality that a retail business demands.
 
Liaise with software and hardware support vendors to resolve reactive incidents and to follow up with proactive measures to prevent reoccurrence across all regional technologies.
 
Carry out assigned daily, weekly or monthly scheduled tasks.
 
Working towards subject matter specialist within the regional and retail Burberry Technologies.
 
Document all tasks undertaken within the team including reoccurring issues and processes.
 
Provide training overviews on specialist subject matter to the rest of the team and Front Office where applicable.
 
To provide weekly update report to the Head of EMEIA IT Service.
 
Interface with the business concerning pricing and IT related escalations as instructed.

PERSONAL PROFILE
? Fluent in Chinese & English
? Industry recognized qualification e.g. MCSE, CCNA
? Understanding of ITIL
? Experience in a global retail organization.
? Retail systems such as Epicor or Omnico.
? SAP framework.
? Retail Back Office concept and activities
? IT Generalist with working knowledge of Windows and Apple end user platforms.
? SQL 2000-2005
? OS X
? SAP
? Networking.
? Retail experience (including interfacing with customer facing colleagues), solid experience within Retail (RF Scanners/RF printers, RFID, Till support)
? Hardware configuration and break/fix experience.
? Solid technical support experience with PC & MAC, this should include OS (W7/OSX), Microsoft Office suite/Apple Life support
? Solid experience with Apple mobile devices
? Familiar with IT call logging systems
? Excellent team player who can liaise with other team members in different countries and time zones.
? Has the ability to work on their own initiative to ensure work is completed to agreed deadlines.
? Has the willingness to share knowledge and skills.
? Can communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with other members of the team and the business. (Must be able to provide exceptional (up to and including) executive level support, both face to face and remotely with superb communication skills and personal demeanor appropriate in a luxury environment.)
? Make technical assessments based on facts and propose resolutions including alternative and workaround fixes.
? Ability to manage their own workload and prioritize incidents.
