Activities
Coordinate and follow up supplier part quality preparation activities in APQP
Work with supplier to verify specific production processes are robust.
Ensure parts are within specification for each build phase and when errors are identified, develop containments with Product Development to protect build and plan.
Work with suppliers to ensure parts are capable.
Report high risk issues to Customer Quality Team and escalate within STA team.
Confirm Supplier’s measurement / gauging plan is robust and holds the parts in a way representative of vehicle fixing points and checks all key features.
Ensure effective Quality Wall activity is in place for all known issues at supplier and prior to build of line
Participate in Complex Quality team meetings and progress reviews
Participate in Cross –functional meetings and activities.
Support Audit activities and feedback all issues to site STA and Supplier.
Oversee the ongoing production activities of nominated suppliers to control their Quality and volume with a particular focus on defect detection and prevention.
Lead Quality training for operatives
Conduct internal process audits
Investigate issues regarding production volume constraints and drive improvements in production output.
Document and analyze the deficiencies identified in the product/process .Where required arrange to implement local containment activities with G&P teams to protect the clients production plants
Review the adequacy and scope of the suppliers corrective action plan to address the product/process deficiencies.
Drive through the agreed Supplier resolution of the identified deficiencies using a PDCA approach
Hold frequent senior management level contact at the nominated Suppliers.
Supporting as required the Supplier with expertise on such issues FMEA control plan development, problem resolution process mistake proofing and process control techniques
When required conduct Supplier Management Assessment Audits [MSA] and report results to the Client Management.
Ensure the Client Management are kept updated on the progress of the above activities through accurate and concise reporting methodologies.
Provide support to taskforce working.

Candidate Profile
A proven track record in complex problem solving is required for this role.
3-5 years working experience in automotive industry.
Preferably they will have been employed at a management level but its essential they a proven track record of successfully managing supplier improvements.
Deep knowledge about ISO/TS16949, with VDA 6.3 certificate is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Over 50% travel
